There were a lot of very good releases on the femme-metal scene in 2009, but one of them, a debut EP “Rose of Melancholy” by the Norwegian band Adyta, stood out because of beautiful sympho elements blended with metal, Melissa Ferlaak’s fantastic voice (in my opinion Melissa is one of the best singers of this scene at the moment) and because of the enchanting sound of the song “Gjennom Tiden” in Norwegian – a rare occurrence for Norwegian metal, which is very strange considering the beauty of Norwegian language and quite a big number of famous Norwegian metal bands.

                    

                    At the moment the band are working on their second EP “Katarsis” which will be released soon; in order to find out more details we addressed Joakim Severinsen, the founder and the songwriter of Adyta, and he told our readers about the band, about the new singer (who is, by the way, our compatriot) and the new release:
