A lot of important things happened in the camp of Eluveitie during a little over one year that had passed since our first interview with this Swiss folk/melodic-death metal band - the release of the incredible, charming and mystic acoustic folk album "Evocation I – The Arcane Dominion", gigs in its support that were followed by writing and recording their new metal CD "Everything Remains (As It Never Was)". The last one once again proved the outstanding ability of Eluveitie to create an astonishing blend of authentic folk melodies and catchy metal riffs. Sometimes fierce and harsh, sometimes dancy and joyful tracks remind one about the glorious heritage of "Slania" while wonderful instrumentals serve a kind of bridge from "Evocation I" to future creative searches of Eluveitie that hopefully soon result in a new acoustic release. As for the lyrics, the band heavily focused on the history of the Antique Gaul but also added several songs concerning the Gaulish mythology. Recording, mixing, and mastering duties were carried out by very famous people - Tommy Vetterli, Colin Richardson, Martyn "Ginge" Ford, John Davis. The album release was preceded by the video "Thousandfold" and the same-titled single. The band had recently finished European PAGANFEST 2010 with Finntroll, Dornenreich, Varg and Arkona and now Eluveitie are on a North American tour supporting Amon Amarth (support on the trek also comes from Holy Grail).
