Он барабанная сенсация длиною в 26 лет – с тех самых пор, когда его барабанная дробь была озвучена на первой серьёзной пластинке. Уже 20 лет он входит в пятёрку сильнейших барабанщиков планеты по версии авторитетных хит-парадов, а 30 альбомов с его участием дослужились до Grammy, часть которой , безусловно, предназначается и ему. И это уже не сессионное мастерство, а ежедневный кропотливый труд, возведённый в ранг искусства.
          Этому колоритному парню из Массачусетса везло всегда: фортуна по-американски белозубо улыбнулась ему ещё в самом начале музыкального пути. В 16 лет он бредил классической музыкой, и одарённого юного музыканта с первого же прослушивания приняли в Бостонский симфонический оркестр. Молодое дарование било в литавры на самых престижных фестивалях классической музыки, но душа уже просила большого. По окончании школы Кенни отказался от выгодных контрактов в известных оркестрах и переехал в Нью-Йорк, где продолжил учиться играть на барабанах. Первая настоящая работа с JOHN MELLENCAMP BAND стала отправной точкой в его карьере. С тех пор Кенни Аронофф работает не останавливаясь, успевая за год переиграть в десятках самых разных проектов и дать уроки своим многочисленным ученикам. С 1993 по 1997 год он являлся адъюнкт-профессором по перкуссии Университета штата Индиана, а также автором нескольких видеошкол и учебников. Теперь своё мастерство Кенни покажет и в Москве на барабанном шоу ZILDJIAN DAY 26 ноября в КЦ «Москвич».
